After graduation from Dalian Maritime University with a bachelor’s degree in navigation in 1990, Capt. Lu started his sailing career with a famous shipping company in Hongkong. He didn’t retire from the sea until 2005, upon which time he had served as captain for over six years. Since then he has been working as a correspondent to P&I Clubs and H&M insurers, and has handled a number of significant maritime casualties.
